De euro presteerde relatief zwak in het derde kwartaal van dit jaar. Naast de Brexit-onzekerheid en de handelsoorlog die weegt op Duitsland, is er het vooruitzicht op monetaire stimulus van de ECB. Tijdens de rentebijeenkomst van 12 september verwachten de markten een renteverlaging, tiering en de aankondiging van een nieuw QE-programma. Minstens tot eind 2019 zal dit de eenheidsmunt drukken, maar ook in 2020 is het opwaarts potentieel beperkt.
