Fraudulent use insurance

  • You trust your staff and have no problems entrusting them with a Visa Business Blue or MasterCard Business Silver card. Unfortunately, you may fall victim to abuse nevertheless... In this case, you will be covered up to a total amount of EUR 5,000.
  • What are the main risks covered? Fraudulent expenditure by an employee.
  • What are the main risks not covered? Transactions completed by owners, directors, partners, principal shareholders or persons who are not employed by the insured party.

Purchase guarantee insurance

  • Have you made a purchase for your company with your Visa Business Blue or MasterCard Business Silver? If so, this purchase is covered by your card insurance for a 90-day period and up to a maximum of EUR 1,500 per claim for Visa Business Blue and up to EUR 3,000 for MasterCard Business Silver (max: 2 claims per year).
  • What are the main risks covered? Refund of the purchase price of an insured item that has been stolen. In the event of accidental damage: refund of the cost of repairs or original purchase value.
  • What are the main risks not covered? Items which have not been purchased and/or paid for in full using the insured credit card. Normal wear and tear on insured items including the effects of erosion, corrosion, damp, cold or heat.

Online purchase insurance

  • Make online purchases for your company with total peace of mind. The insurance included with your Visa Business Blue or MasterCard Business Silver will guarantee you peace of mind (coverage up to EUR 750 for Visa Business Blue and EUR 1,500 for MasterCard Business Silver).
  • What are the main risks covered? Any online purchases that are not delivered or where the delivery is non-compliant.
  • What are the main risks not covered? Items which have not been purchased and/or paid for in full using the insured credit card.
Travel assistance insurance

If you have used your MasterCard Business Silver to pay for all of the costs of your business trip, you will benefit from a very effective travel insurance policy. You can also call on the insurance company if you need an insurance certificate for your travel visa.

What are the main risks covered?

  • Your travel and repatriation costs if you are injured or fall ill.
  • The cost of an early return in the event of the death of an employee or serious damage to your home.
  • Medical costs incurred abroad.
  • Search and rescue costs.

What are the main risks not covered?

  • Medical conditions known before departure.
  • Conditions caused by a suicide attempt.
  • Consequences of plane travel if the cardholder is more than 28 weeks' pregnant.
Luggage insurance

If you paid all of the costs of your business trip with your MasterCard Business Silver, your luggage will be insured for delays (up to max. EUR 750) and theft (up to max. EUR 250).

  • Delays of more than 4 hours.
  • Loss of luggage.
  • Theft of luggage.

What are the main risks not covered?

  • Delays of less than 4 hours.
Delayed flight or missed connection insurance

If you are going on a business trip and you paid for your flights with your MasterCard Business Silver, the insurance will cover the costs of your hotel, meal and transport to and from the airport, up to a maximum of EUR 250, if you miss your flight or if it is delayed.

What are the main risks covered?

  • Delayed flights/missed connections.

What are the main risks not covered?

  • • Delays of less than 4 hours and delays to chartered flights.
Car rental excess insurance

Pay for your car rental with your MasterCard Business Silver and travel with peace of mind: all material damage to your rental car will be covered regardless of whether you are responsible or not.

What are the main risks covered?

  • Material damages to the rental car up to a maximum of EUR 10,000.

What are the main risks not covered?

  • Rental cars worth over EUR 50,000 or rented for more than 31 days.

The insurance included with the Visa Business Blue card as offered by BNP Paribas Fortis is a collective insurance policy subject to Belgian law, taken out by BNP Paribas Fortis (policyholder) with Europ Assistance (the insurer). The cardholder is automatically covered by this insurance. The insurance will be cancelled, even for goods already paid for, if the insured credit card is not renewed, if it is cancelled or if the insurance policy taken out by the policyholder with the insurer is terminated for any reason.
